The Mouse was for the Computer.
PointAnd is for AR.
There is currently no practical way to interact with headset based Augmented reality. Current input methods are tiring, imprecise and an obstacle to real world interaction.
PointAnd is a complete Augmented Reality interaction solution comprised of a ring controller and complimentary UI.
The ring permits simple and precise manipulation of content in three dimensions. Interacting with the ring does not require the user to raise their arms, and wearing the ring does not obstruct real world physical interactions.
The ring is designed in conjunction with a versatile user interface designed specifically for AR. The UI provides a palette of interactions that applies to the majority of current AR applications.
The UI comprised of: radial menus, notifications, navigation guides, scaling rules, shadow rendering rules. This UI provides a pallet of interactions applicable to majority of current AR applications. In tandem, the ring alongside a Unity based SDK for the UI provide the first complete AR interaction solution.
